Media Release by Speaker Selangor State Legislative Assembly Dated 7 February 2018

The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, officially launched a publication by the Selangor State Legislative Assembly titled ‘Dewan Negeri Selangor’ at Istana Kayangan, Shah Alam on 5th February 2018. This 176 page book was presented to the Sultan of Selangor by the Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly, Hannah Yeoh and witnessed by the Selangor State Legal Advisor Dato’ Haji Nik Suhaimi Bin Nik Sulaiman.

 

This book records the history of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly since 1959, capturing key moments and reforms undertaken by the Selangor State Legislative Assembly since 2008.

 

This book also features a collection of exquisite portraits and photographs of significant events at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly throughout the years. There is also a comprehensive narrative providing insight into the role and functions of the Assembly including the happenings behind the scene for each sitting.

 

This marks a significant milestone for the Selangor State Legislative Assembly as this is its first inaugural publication, providing and keeping references for the future lawmakers of Selangor.
